| Properties | In the sixties, as the result of detailed research, French scientists have created the oil extract from the seeds of palm fruits. The purified oil extract contains phytosterols (b-sitosterol), unsaturated fatty acids and their respective alcohol, which have a favorable effect in chronic prostatism and prostate inflammation. For many years, pumpkin seed oil has been used by traditional medicine in prostate inflammation. It also contains fatty acids (palmitic, stearic, oleic, linolenic and arachidonic) which have a convergent effect and act synergistically with the palm oil. In males over the age of 45, sometimes a benign enlargement of the prostate gland occurs, which may lead to frequent, difficult and incomplete urination. The major cause for the enlargement is the transformation of the male hormone, testosterone, into its more potent form - dehydrotestosterone. Aprostin blocks the formation of dehydrotestosterone and limits its undesirable effects. Aprostin may be successfully used in women with excessive hirsuitsim and/or acne caused by excessive testosterone levels in the body. |
